But much of what Brandeis was talking about there eventually gets realized during the New Deal.
So you can talk about all of these things of Brandeis and how revolutionary he was before he was a Supreme Court justice, before he actually gets on the Supreme Court.
And most of the story that I wrote about him
actually is about that era of his life.
We also talk about, you know, one of the profiles is Ida Tarbell.
That's out today, who was a muckraking journalist who really took down, she was instrumental in taking down Standard Oil, which was the dominant sort of the Google of its time.
And it was almost like a weird revenge story because Standard Oil ruined her father
She lived in Pennsylvania, and Standard Oil bought up all these companies in not just Pennsylvania refineries, but all around the Northeast at that time.
And her father was sort of caught up in that and was monetarily, financially ruined as a result.
And this was sort of the origin story of Ida Tarbell going back.
But we also talk about the you know, obviously, if you're going to talk about power in America, you can talk about white supremacy.
And so we have pieces on Frederick Douglass and Ida B. Wells.
We have if you got to talk about labor and that subjugation, we have the pieces on a Philip Randolph coming next week.
Francis Perkins as well.
We have a piece on Ferdinand Pecora, one of my favorites, coming on Monday about his role on the Pecora Commission to understand the origins of the Great Depression and the perfidy of the Great Banking Trust.
And then we go on to the present day with people like Judy Heumann,
who is one of our prospect patriots.
She was a disability rights advocate and really was instrumental in getting all disability rights that exist in the United States into being.
And she's a fascinating character.
