But let me tell you something about America.
I came here, graduated college with $19,000 in debt.
Had no money besides that.
Worked, paid my debt off, succeeded in America.
I had no fucking silver spoon introduction.
I had no nepotism.
Didn't have three country clubs.
It worked out.
And I can say that about a million of my friends.
It worked out.
There's this opportunity set in America that's unlike anything else in the world ever.
And I think the key metric for America should be to convert 2% of Americans from labor to capital each year.
if that would be the KPI from America for the next 250 years, we would fucking crush it.
Because what that means is that in 50 years, every American would be able to choose whether or not they want to work because they could just live off of the capital that they've accumulated, that they've appreciated, and they can now take that capital and live off of the income from that capital and live whatever life they want to live.
That should be the goal for America.
And that metric of economic mobility, no politician talks about.
They use those words, economic mobility, and they throw it away and they never talk about it again.
But what's the metric behind it?
What does it mean?
Economic mobility means that at some point in your life, you've saved up enough and invested enough that you can now live off of your investment.
