Who's going to do all the accounting?
What are all the accountants going to do with themselves?
Since that time, mathematician jobs, statistician jobs, accounting jobs, service jobs, they all went up.
They all went up.
And then when the desktop revolution happened in the 1980s, you can go back, Time Magazine, Newsweek again, there's cover stories about the loss of jobs.
We're going to lose all jobs in America because these new desktop computers, it's like the desktop computer side by side with the worker and the worker is like, hmm, like my job's over.
Like this thing's replacing me.
Desktop jobs took off with the computer because every one of these stages, every one of these steps,
was an improvement in human productivity.
A human uses the mainframe, the desktop, and the AI.
And when the human uses that tool, that point of leverage, they can do so much more.
And not only do they not lose their job, but they're worth more.
Because they're the operator of that tool.
So they can now operate at a rate that's 10 or 100 times more.
And it's not that a company runs out of opportunities to do stuff.
The goal of a business is to grow.
So when people are able to do 10 or 100 times more and you can pay them 50% higher salary, you hire more people.
And your business grows.
And that's called economic productivity and economic growth.
Productivity means more with less.
