a certain pick at any point for any manager across the season for Rangers so it shows that just because you've scored goals consistently for another club in the Scottish Premiership doesn't mean that you're going to guarantee goals going to you know a different club No of course not I was actually really surprised that Bojan Mijovski struggled as much as he did but he came in under Russell Martin he's now under Danny Rule and I don't think that Danny Rule I don't think he's Danny Rule's type of striker Andrew I think Danny Rule looks for different qualities
And if you compare the two of them, I think Laurence Shankland has blossomed into a far better all-round striker than Bojan Mijovic.
I think he's got a lot more to his game.
I think he can drop in and play a lot better than Mijovic can.
I think Mijovic is probably better playing off the shoulder.
Like he did at Aberdeen, he was so effective up there.
to touch on what David was saying about the equipment last year I mean if you actually look at the key decision makers at Rangers last year it was Russell Martin Patrick Stewart and Kevin Thelwell they all left the club so the people making this decision now are completely different I know Dan Purdy is still there but I think this is this is an executive managerial and football decision to take this up this chance to sign Laurence Shightland and
Yeah, they should have done it last year, I think, but better late than never, I suppose.
Yeah I think it's the prime of his career you know 30 years of age and as I said earlier I think he's just matured as a striker I think he offers so much more but I'll go back to what I said right at the start I think it was Snobbery on behalf of some managers that they didn't sign him earlier I get it that he probably didn't have his best season the season before last but I would still have taken him if you're even taking him as a squad player for whatever reason Rangers didn't want to at the time but
look they've had the chance to sort of right that wrong and it's a huge it boosts their squad but it also hurts their direct rival and I don't think that could be underestimated how big a void he leaves it hurts People also look at footballers when they reach the age of 30 and a lot of people think well you know that's them going on a downwards trajectory now
I was all optimistic I agree with David in the sense that it is a problem area the goalkeeping situation we've got three goalkeepers who have hardly played a game I think across the last year between them they've played more times for Scotland than they have collectively for their clubs
So that's clearly an issue.
In terms of the full-back positions, I think Andy Robertson will be fine.
Kieran Tierney keeps getting this injury prone tag.
He's played over 50 games for Celtic this season.
I think if Scotland play a back four, he won't start.
If they play a back three, he clearly will play as a third centre-half.
The central defence is an issue.
It has to be an issue because John Suter's finished the season injured.
Grant Hanley, I was at the Hibs game against Motherwell, went off injured.
