I think he misread the board at times, and you could have moved up if you were convicted on a certain player or a certain position, but they were so determined to –
some people believe this, to stick to their board and who they had evaluated and their great rating system and all those things.
And all the while, what was happening in front of them, they couldn't stop.
And those guys kept coming off the board one by one.
That's what you do in drafts.
Because the Patriots were...
They felt with conviction that they needed an edge rusher, and Gabakis was the guy who was going to give them that chance to get one.
Now, there's some information out there that maybe Gabakis wasn't somebody the Bears were going to draft or was a guy that they thought as much of as some other edge rushers that went off the board.
But as long as the Patriots believe that, they clearly did, and they were compelled to move in front of them.
Now they have a very committed –
I think edge rusher that's going to be a good NFL player, especially in that system, on that team, in that defense.
So good for Gabe Ackes.
The leverage, the burst, the toughness.
I mean, that's nice to see him for Brett Bielema and that program get somebody going in the second round.
You referred to Logan Jones from Iowa as a starting caliber center, and I believe that's exactly what they got in him.
Now, that is an offensive line that is different than it was a year ago.
The left tackle situation still is in a state of flux.
But they could have as many as two new starters if you count Braxton Jones as a new starter.
