That he needs certain things to be in place.
And if he feels like that commitment needs to be reinforced, that's what he needs to hear.
And that should make you feel good because Billy Donovan wants to work for an ownership group that's committed to winning.
Well, I think that's a good question, and I think it's interesting to frame it that way because he did say when he left Oklahoma City, part of the reason was why, the understanding was he did not want to be part of that.
That was also six years ago.
He's at a different phase of his life and his career, and things do change.
And look, when we're reinforcing this kind of faith and expressing this confidence in Billy Donovan, it is with the knowledge that he's not had a terrific tenure as a Bulls head coach in terms of a lot of winning deep in the playoffs.
That's not been his reality.
I guess what I want to know is do people feel like it's – do we have a blind spot there?
Because I believe he's been working with –
Limited rosters.
And I don't think he's had everything that there have been some really bad decisions made putting these rosters together, which is why they're having a change at the top.
And I don't put that all on the head coach, whether it's Billy Donovan or anybody else.
I think there have been limitations in what he's had to work with.
In the NBA especially.
I don't think the rationale is the same for him now that it was when he left Oklahoma City.
I don't think the circumstances have changed.
I think the question is, Brandon, and you raise a really good point here, is that, all right, how long will it take for the Bulls to regain some respectability?
How big of a job is this?
Does next year, as you're implying, is next year a tank year?
