They moved down because the board was telling them that all of the guys that they maybe wanted were gone.
And remember, Ryan Pohl said they had a smaller group or cloud or circle or whatever of players this year, a little tighter, maybe because of the talent available or maybe because of their standards.
Whatever the case is, I think they ran out of names this year.
We agree on that.
I see what you did there.
Yeah, they did.
But what they failed to do is take advantage of that maneuverability and get a defensive player that you thought could help.
I don't know why they're collecting tight ends.
I just don't.
With due respect to Sam Rauch and understanding the Ben Johnson offense, I get all that.
Guys, I know you're replacing Durham Smythe, and you look at what that depth chart looks like now.
But I don't think that the board was screaming, take a tight end, take a tight end, take a tight end.

You know, that's a really interesting conversation because it's something that I believe is slowly happening and evolving in the NFL.
And we saw that reflected in the Bears' first-round pick.
