It was like a wall of debris.
Six, seven, eight feet high.
I mean, it was taller than me.
And it went from side to side.
It's trees.
It's mangled branches.
It's mangled parts of fences.
It's farm implements and equipment.
And all twisted and tangled together.
So I thought, I'm going to try and climb over this pile of debris.
But it was completely unstable.
It wouldn't hold me.
And I couldn't move it.
It was just a mess, a tangled mess.
If I can't go over it, maybe I can go around it.
So I walk around the end of the debris, and I step into mud, and it goes up to my ankles.
And the next step, shoop.
I just sunk right down to my knees.
Like quicksand.
And I can't move.
