There's no hot water with no power.

And I'm trying to wash and get the mud off of me and sort of wake myself up with this cold water.

And I finish that, and I get dressed, get in the car, and head over to the wedding.

I'm going to get there right at 10.

I park the car, I go on into the church, and the first two I see are my daughters Ava and Susan, Elizabeth's younger sisters.

And they say, oh, dad, I'm so glad to see you.

Are you okay?

Is everything okay?

How was the drive up?

And at that point, I just lost it.

I was physically and emotionally drained.

I just started crying.

And they're looking at their dad, who's crying, wondering what happened.

And I tell them the story.

And their eyes just got wide and their jaws dropped.

And they're listening to the whole thing and they're hugging me and holding on.

But then I told everybody, I said, please don't tell Elizabeth.

I don't want to spoil her day.

This is her day.
