You're buying into a dream.
And in the case of the two AI companies, well, the third one, SpaceX, is also kind of related to AI.
Well, I think in the case of SpaceX, it's kind of different because they've got these satellites up there.
It does generate some kind of cash.
But all three companies are unprofitable at the moment.
So what you're banking on is that these companies are going to be profitable at some point in the future.
And one of the problems that I think we have with AI at the moment is that there are so many different platforms, so many different models out there.
Some people say the large language model is going to be the one that works.
Other people say the Chinese model, the deep seek model is going to be the one that's going to work.
And I think what is going to happen eventually, just as it did with the Internet, is that
It is going to become a commodity.
I mean, the Internet is a commodity.
What differentiates the different parts of the Internet is that somebody has got a killer application.
And at the moment with AI, I cannot think of a killer application.
One that goes pop, Emily.
One where you put your money into it and nothing comes out.
But the question is, Emily, can you pick the winner?
Can you pick the Amazon?
Well, there you go then.
So therefore, everybody is putting money into these things in the hope that one of them may actually turn out to be good.
