My answer is Nate Pearson.

I would have gone with Nate Pearson, and here's why.

I actually have no problem with them going to Erseg in the ninth.

And I'll get to that.

I'll start with the Nate Pearson part.

The reason that I would have gone to Nate Pearson with the bases loaded and two outs is because, A, he's handled lefties quite well this year, and Cody Clemens is lefty.

And, B, Cody Clemens has a 140 average with a 193 slugging percentage against 96 miles per hour plus this season.

Nate Pearson throws hard.

And, C, there's a third reason.

I don't know if I said 1 and 2 or A and B, but C, regardless.

You've got to find out what you have in Nate Pearson.

Why not throw him in a leverage spot?

And what better way than to... Get the last out with the bases loaded.

That's a showcase.

And if you lose...

You said it before.

Well, and I wonder, too, if Erceg in the ninth was that, too.

If some team said, hey, look, we love this stuff.

And that's what I come back to with Erceg.

They need to get – if they don't trade him, which I don't think they – I think they probably shouldn't because I imagine you're trading him at the absolute lowest.
