He plans to basically stay where he is and be a farmer his entire life.
But a young woman comes to the area.
Her father's in the Coast Guard, so she moves around a lot.
And he falls for her.
Her name is Mary.
And they have a relationship.
And he starts to wonder...
If he can make things work with this girl, who the last thing she wants is to stay in Sault Ste.
It's really beautifully written.
If you like rural stories with great sort of down-to-earth characters, it's a really impressive debut.
And again, that's A Good Animal by Sarah Maurer.
