play games often are what lead us to try to quote unquote gamify real life right apply scores to things and and figure out who is best at what by by ranking and things like that you know you think of gpas or or college rankings or anything like that is kind of a way to gamify real life and he says that the way that we keep score and make rules in games is what makes games so delightful but to apply that same thing to real life
can actually have disastrous results.
This is just scratching the surface of what he talks about in this book.
I found this book utterly, utterly fascinating and so much fun to read.
I highly recommend it to anyone, even if you don't think you're interested in philosophy.
