Adrian Gonzalez was the first law enforcement officer to arrive at Robb Elementary on May 24, 2022, when a gunman was shooting at the school.
Prosecutors alleged Gonzalez hesitated and did not do his duty.
The gunman was able to enter a classroom and kill 19 students and two teachers.
After deliberating for more than seven hours, the Nueces County jury found Gonzalez not guilty in the 29 counts of child endangerment.
This was the first trial over the response to the Uvalde attack.
Former school district police chief Pete Arredondo is also expected to be tried.
