I mean, in hindsight, it's very clear that Carapaz was all in on the stage.
I mean, he also knows that he can't match Parrypantz on those sprints, but Parrypantz still just went out so hard in each of those sprints where he didn't need to make sure.
Carapaz was just marking him and just staying behind.
But coming into that final, everyone just presumed it would be Carapaz and Paripant fighting.
Jorgensen had done some attacks beforehand, because I think he knew that he wasn't going to be able to match Carapaz and Paripant, so he was hoping he could get a gap.
But again, because they were going between 55 and 60 km an hour in that valley up to the foot, there was no way you were getting away.
And there was no way Carapaz was letting anyone away, neither Paripant.
