Yes.

But then behind, they weren't giving up.

And it was just, but the moment Mads Pedersen got up there, he started attacking again.

That's what was crazy because he saw that they weren't giving up behind and then it started ripping up and groups started coming from that group.

Like his legs just had a double puncture.

It was really strange.

I mean, because he'd been holding in that group.

I mean, he had been in the back most of the day, but he'd ended up in that yellow jersey group.

So that was what was left of the peloton.

And he just shut it down because there was a group behind of about 20, 30 riders.

And as you say, he just stopped.

And it looked like he was going to get off his bike there and then.

He started rolling along and eventually he was caught by that, the last group in the road who were chasing furiously to get back on as well.

And he hung there for a bit and then he dropped off.

And again, it looked like he was going to stop.

But he kept going.

I think it was one of those ones where his team sort of urged him to, rather than saying, do you want to get off or whatever?

Because he looked, his head was gone.

As we record this, we don't know what was happening.

And eventually they sent Wellens back to kind of nurse him to the finish.
