And essentially, along came Mehmed the Conqueror with his huge great bronze cannons in two parts, screwed them together and proceeded to destroy the walls.
And I think that is a very terrifying paradigm to where America is right now in its empire cycle.
It was, you know, the story of my life is unconventional thinking into organizations or systems to challenge them.
And I've, you know, there were so many firsts, which my life has represented as a trailblazer.
In this case, it was slightly, I was perceived as someone that strapped on a broomstick and put on a witch's hat and drove around the room until the person that ran Europe decided that I should work directly for him and propagate these constructs.
So one of the lessons, if you're going to initiate change, is you need the support of the person at the top because otherwise every one of the lower layers will stifle you.
And with the support of the person at the top,
essentially I was able to enact a massive change.
And the change happened because it was a more effective way of predicting the world than the system they had before.
And they were all rewarded by correct predictions and investments.
So it actually drove them to look better to do it.
But there were still fundamental resistances and that had to be overcome.
And, you know, some of the best ones were people more senior initially than myself, just viewing me as a threat to their endeavor.
But in fact, in that threat to their endeavor, they just showed that they weren't adaptable enough and ultimately were not successful.
So it was my first taste of the unconventional changing structure.
And no structure, by the way, is receptive to new ideas.
Unless it's a special forces organization, that's what I call thoroughly lateralized.
Or unless it's Ukraine, that is a lateralized country at war who understands if it doesn't adapt quicker than the enemy, it dies.
And that's ultimately why I argue war is a persistent feature of history, is it's not just about people's ego, as someone said.
It's also about a process which takes place when an encumbrance system is old and linearized and unadapted and a new system that's super adaptive.
