Depending how these next couple of weeks go down, we may have something even โ something pretty big as well to talk about next week.
But we'll see.
We'll see how the playoffs kind of roll out here in the next โ at least until today.
Yep.
You too, buddy.
Take care.
Yeah, you know what?
I think, Jeff, it was a combo.
It was a combo of being a little rusty because you had 12 days off between games and Montreal riding the high of that Game 7 win, that series win against Buffalo.
My biggest takeaway, though, from it wasn't the potency of Montreal in the first period.
it was their defensive performance in the second period.
And it was different than what we saw against Buffalo.
Like when the Canadians took the lead against Buffalo in two separate occasions, I don't remember the games off the top of my head, but in two separate ones, they took their foot off the gas to focus on defense.
But the focus at that point on defense was purely to protect the lead.
In this instance, yeah, they were doing kind of the same thing,
But when an opportunity arose to be a little bit offensive, they took advantage of that.
It didn't transpire into anything because they didn't go too far with it.
But with how much Carolina reverted back to their game in the second period, the Canadians matched them almost shot for shot defensively.
And for me, that was most impressive from the Canadians.
It wasn't the fact that they got out to that big lead because I expected Freddie to be a little rusty.
