I expected the team to be a little rusty.
Um, it was more of that second period.
And then it carried on into the third, like Carolina started to do a little bit, tried to do too much.
They didn't get a shot on net for the first like 18 minutes of that period.
Officially brutal.
It was tough.
And yeah, the Canadians just kind of bog things down, but didn't as the, as the game progressed, they didn't shy away completely from the offensive side of it, which is what they did in Buffalo.
And that allowed Buffalo to get back into certain games.
And the Canadiens...
You know, at least yesterday, when they got into the neutral zone in that second period and tried to enter the offensive zone, they just waited for the opportunity.
So if it wasn't there, they were fine just dumping it in.
Whereas last series, they kind of rushed that a little bit too much.
They didn't wait for an occasion to pop up.
They just kept dumping it.
Whereas yesterday, they were kind of opportunistic in certain circumstances.
I think they only had one or two scoring chances, legitimate ones anyway, in the second period.
But they were waiting for it.
And it didn't happen.
They were totally fine and comfortable just going back into their zone and keeping the puck away as much as they could from Carolina or at least hunkering down, not creating any opportunities or any lanes really for Carolina in that second.
And it just continued.
