On the other hand, I do think that over time,
I'm not an accelerationist by my nature.
I'm not like it has to get really bad so then we can rebuild it.
I don't think historically that's worked.
But I think inevitably, if things keep going in the direction they're going, which is life is increasingly unaffordable for people, people feel disconnected both from societies and from the people in power and don't feel that anyone's really looking out for them.
And there's a societal breakdown.
You know, there's a lot of antisocial stuff going on, not like the birth rate stuff Elon talks about.
As countries get wealthier, the birth rate goes down.
But I mean,
people dating less, people just staying home, et cetera.
If that continues to get worse and worse, some kind of breakdown is likely to happen.
I'm not like a futurist gloomer that predicts it will be fires and, you know, like the day after tomorrow.
I don't know what it will look like.
But there may be some return to the kind of socializing society of old before some of these platforms.
It doesn't mean that they'll go away.
They may just occupy a different place in society.
One example is for a while, the average number of Facebook friends people had was going up, up, up, where it was like, let me collect all of these people I've met once and acquaintances.
The trend now is the opposite.
Facebook's worried about it because people are saying, you know, I actually want to be connected only to people I really know.
