That was really, I really appreciate that in retrospect.

Am I wrong?

Well, okay, so I think I probably hated it at the moment, but then I came to like it because I'm now a chatterbox.

Where it came to hurt me was back in school.

I figured every teacher and adult wants to hear my point of view, which was not true and was isolated just to my parents.

So that got me into more trouble, but I think it was really good for my self-esteem.

So I was in grad school.

And I went and worked for, after school, at a venture capital firm.

And I think a lot of things are going through my head that, you know, I have one chance and I don't want to, I have one life and I want to make it count.

And what that meant for me is I don't want to be in my deathbed and hopefully a long time and not have at least tried to make the world a bit better.

So I went to my boss and I was like, hey, thanks so much, but I'm going to quit.

And he asked me, what am I going to do?

And I said, I don't know yet, but I want to start something.

He goes, what?

I said, I'm not sure.

And he writes me a check for half a million and tells me to go think of an idea.

It was incredibly generous.

I think, I mean, nobody's ever done that for me, obviously before.
