So part of what I'm when I was writing Why Hulk Hogan Matters, the thought process is like, am I just sad that he's not like me now?

Or actually, does he say more about me now than I want to admit?

You know, is he still what America is?

But yeah, I mean, honestly, that that that 80s, the popcorn movie era was just it's incredible.

I mean, you talk about rewatchables.

There's like there's never a time where you say no to a

Schwarzenegger movie or, you know, an 80s Schwarzenegger movie or Stallone movie when they pop on.

Yeah, Schwarzenegger.

And the thing, the stunning thing is when you look at how bad Schwarzenegger was at acting in the beginning, like could somebody not have held Hulk Hogan's hand through a movie like this or whatever?

But here's the thing.

I think Vince Sr., Vince's dad, who told Hogan he couldn't be in Rocky III, was kind of right.

I think wrestlers on the scale of Hulk Hogan, we just feel like we know them too well.

And it's harder even than with an actor to see them play another role.

I just think there's a weird disconnect there that like... And that's part of what I came to why...

you know, a lot of white Hulk Hogan, white wrestlers in general can affect you.

So it can affect me so much.

It's because you feel like, you know, it's because you feel like even though we logically know he's playing a character, I feel like Hulk Hogan is like a figure in my life, you know, and it makes it hard for him to be to be a movie star.

I mean, listen, I always say that he was, for fans like me who were on the internet during those days, stories about Hogan is how we learned about backstage politics.

Right.

You know, all the weird stories about Hogan refused to do this job.
