Yeah, that really speaks to the – it speaks to what you read in the paper, in social media, the videos you watch on social media, the stuff you see on the 6 o'clock news, more importantly in the 7 o'clock news on ABC TV.
It just speaks to it because you've got this cohort of Australians
who some have been fortunate enough to have money handed down from above.
Others, you know, have really worked hard to save up for a deposit and more and more staff, as you know, aren't able to do that anymore because properties are just too expensive.
But you've got this cohort, sort of roughly speaking, 33, 34, 35, right up until the sort of tail end of middle age at 50.
who are going, what are we meant to do?
You know, the boss isn't giving me a pay rise.
You know, the cost of, I don't know why I always pick this product.
I just do.
Don't judge me on it.
But, you know, razors, you know, shaving razors, keep going up, you know, all those little tablets you put in the dishwasher if you're fortunate enough to have a dishwasher.
You know, 50 bucks a pop sometimes.
And it's just hard.
And then you've got this mortgage payment that comes through.
You know, some people have a $750,000 loan.
Sometimes it goes up to a million dollars and you've got to fork out eight grand a month.
Like it's nuts.
It's absolutely nuts.
So when you add car insurance, when you add out-of-pocket healthcare costs, you know, the cost of building a new home and everything that goes with home ownership in terms of electricity costs and energy bills.
And then you add all the discretionary items.
