So I clicked on the link.
to vote for him.
And it was dodgy.
I won't explain to you where the link took me, but there was all sorts of authentication that needed to take place as soon as I did that.
So name, email, all that sort of stuff.
And I bailed out because it was unfamiliar to me and it felt icky.
And then two days later, I got another direct message supposedly from
the contact saying, I'm surprised you haven't voted for me yet.
I messaged you and I thought we were, you know, good.
I don't know whether we said friends or whatever, but
The old heartstrings were pulled.
And so I tried again because I thought, and obviously I should have messaged him via text in hindsight and said, is this you?
Because people have said that to me since I've been hacked.
But I didn't.
And I went ahead and I entered quite a few details about my email address and my phone number and all sorts of things.
And again, I went far enough to realize it wasn't right and bailed out.
But it was too late by that point.
So my ex-account had been hacked.
as you mentioned, those posts about investing in crypto and coming away with Range Rovers and lots of stuff is all false.
But that's what I've been posting about, supposedly.
