But before, you put a guy on them, a foot away from them, and they'd get locked up.
Half of the experience, half of the duty of a new receiver was learning how to get off the line of scrimmage.
So you had to be an apprentice for a couple of years in order to do that.
That's why there was value in how you ran your routes, how you released the line of scrimmage, reading on the run.
What's happening now is that you have people playing off the ball, so you don't need the experience.
You just let everybody off the ball and just run down the field.
