I hadn't been doing any PT.

I took a TRX, the Navy SEAL TRX.

I had that in my room, in the hotel room, but I wasn't allocating any time for myself on the physical aspect.

And so I just bought a road bike, cycled.

Alana's office was about eight miles from our house.

And it's cycling there, cycling back.

I felt that I got that identity back that I knew in the military.

I enjoyed my lungs working hard, the cardiovascular.

I almost felt a slight weight off my shoulders straight away by just pushing myself on that bike.

And we had our second son now and I'm sat in the corner and I'm bottle feeding my son.

And I'm listening to Alana and I'm,

running these meetings with these architects and planners and I wasn't really interested in anything they were talking about you know but you know you heard my backstory and I was um Alana she caught my eye and I wasn't looking at her I was just just blank just looking at a wall and she said look you need to do something to keep yourself physically and mentally engaged um and not be smuggling people across borders and so for me I was like I sort of enjoyed the physical side and

And I was like, well, I always remember as a young boy reading the Guinness Book of Records, you know, always fascinated by these, you know, these feats of people, you know, whether they can eat, you know, 60 chicken wings in about a minute or, you know, walk around Australia.

And I said, well, I fancy doing a world record.

It was about a month before my 40th birthday.

So I'm also having a midlife crisis.

You know, what legacy am I going to leave on this earth?

And so my wife pushes the Guinness Book of Records.

We get a Guinness Book of Records that night and she pushes it to me.

And I was thinking maybe it was Cairo to Cape Town I was looking at first.
