No, no.

For me, probably to just introduce myself, I did 16 years in UK Tier 1 Special Forces.

But transition normally is planned.

Transition is normally like, right, I'm coming towards the end of my career.

I have two years left to do.

Let's start that transition process.

And there's procedures in place.

There's courses that you can go on and everything.

and prepare you for that exit because that exit is difficult in your life.

For me, I had no choice.

I didn't want to leave the military.

It wasn't my choice to leave the military.

Unfortunately, a parachute action sped up that process.

And so I didn't want to transition.

I had no aspirations of actually becoming a civilian.

For me, I was what we call a lifer.

I would have actually still been in now.

I would probably be sat in a desk as an officer just pushing paper.

So that was the first shot for me was the fact that you have no choice.

You now have to transition.
