I called a graphic designer.
I'm like, what do I do?
She's like, you just put a video on and you put text on the screen.
And I'm like, I'm not putting text on the screen.
I'm not putting text on the screen.
She's like, no, no, you got to.
And I did it.
just something like I'm playing my tune on a drum machine and yeah half a million views later I was following four people my housemate my fiance and three cooking shows I think if the maths is mathing but yeah and then from that moment on the next day I woke up to obviously a whirlwind of emails and yeah I was going viral in itself on that was the thing I turned off notifications for a little while so yeah
Yeah, so there was a bit of anticipation for the tune leading up to that.
And I had a feeling going into the set that it was going to get busy in my mind because it was an opening slot.
Like traditionally an opening slot, there's four people there at the start and whatever, and it fills and maybe it doesn't.
But I had a feeling there was going to get busy.
There was a lot of anticipation going, leading into that set, but I didn't think it would be full and people not being able to get in before I started.
Um, and yeah, I mean, it was just one of those things.
I didn't expect it until it happened.
Um, it was obviously awesome while it was happening and it was crazy reflecting on it and then seeing the videos afterwards, it still blows my mind.
Yeah, I mean, it's new to me in respect to, I guess, kind of the frequency.
I've always played, but it hasn't been on the level that I've played at.
And obviously performing and doing my own shows has been completely new.
So it's been an adjustment, but it's been really fun.
