Yeah, absolutely.

Well Michal Lahan, thank you very, very much and uh for joining us um this morning.

Um Theresa Reedy, the US Irish relationship is stronger than ever and the two countries um do very well.

That was one of the remarks that uh President Trump uh made during his meeting with Taoiseach Michal Martin.

Um is that just diplomacy or what do you think really of the transatlantic relationship at the moment?

Taoiseach uh today in that meeting where you said the investment of the Trump family in Dunbeg, where three hundred and fifty people are employed, was very, very um much appreciated.

Pater Tabine um we're probably less than a week out from uh Ursula von der Leyen's State of the Union address, which is expected amongst other things, uh, to uh look at uh the role of social media companies, possibly new regulation coming down the line.

And Europe and America have been somewhat at loggerhead.

heads over uh these big tech companies and what the EU calls regulation Donald Trump has called an attack on freedom of speech.

And is that one of the sore points between the two?

Larry, um a long history of visits.

Uh President Trump says it forms now part of that record of a very long history of visits from sitting US presidents to Ireland.

Where do you assess the the transatlantic relationship now?

I you know, I read in some of the the the the American press this morning, they were describing this visit by Donald Trump as a swing by.

Um but but nonetheless, um where would you assess the the relationship between

were higher numbers of people coming from the US to Ireland than there was going in the other opposite direction.

Um, I just want to bring in we've a guest uh on the line, um, maybe just to see how this visit is playing in the US.

Um uh she is on the other side of the Atlantic this morning, live from Philadelphia, where it must be very early, Republican political strategist and author of the memoir Unburdened.
