Yeah, Carabov, um Ireland took a lot of heat over uh the occupied territories bill and we saw this week Andy Burnham's government leading through Ed Miliband with something similar.
The the the amount of goods affected were quite small and some would say it was it was a tokenistic, but do you feel that the tide is turning internationally and even domestically in the US uh to Donald uh Trump's approach in in respect of the the conflict?
Theresa Reedy, um the Irish Times doesn't hold back.
It says Trump was a bully and a braggart, a self concessed sexual predator and a purveyor of racial slurs.
He's probably the worst president Americans have ever elected.
Most people would not welcome such a man into their home, and the majority of Irish people will not welcome this visit.
Heads of state and political leaders must, however, make a different calculation.
Lindy, is that right?
It it's up to us.
You know, we whatever about the qualities of individuals or how we differ, we've always uh respected uh the deep beta bonds between Ireland and the US and the office of uh the Presidency.
Are we right to take up the issues that we may have as a as a small country that has taken different views perhaps on issues such as Gaza and Israel?
