In 2006, we took a team away.
I had done my ACL, so I went in as an assistant coach.
And we selected that off on the back of the national championships.
Young Daisy Pease was 18, just turned 18 years old.
And there's a wonderful picture floating around with her holding the flag.
And there were some other greats in there.
Moana Hope, Meg Hutchinson, Penny Collar-Reed, and Lauren Testostrio.
And it was just unbelievable in terms of what we've done within the 20 years.
And then to see Daisy standing as an assistant coach 20 years later, leading the team, for me, there was a moment where I went, wow, this is about progress.
This is about opportunity.
You know, this is how far we've come.
So, you know, back in the day, we had to... I think we had a polo that we found someone to just slap an Australian logo on.
We sold so many Freddos and I think we had a...
a fundraiser at an Irish pub and ended up raising like $10,000 to $15,000.
But it was self-funded.
We had one jacket and we stayed at a convent.

I think there's been a real shift.
There's a real shift in momentum.
Obviously, we've had the game this week, last weekend, and now we look forward to a doubleheader.
