And then about two weeks later, it was sort of like we looked at each other and we're like, are we getting married?
I think the answer to that is it didn't feel right.
There was just a resistance.
I think part of it is because the subject we're about to talk about is that I didn't have any great models growing up.
You know, movies are like... Fantasy land.
Exactly.
Everything ends as you're going off into the sunset.
And and I really didn't see any models of like, oh, I want that.
It's true.
It's true.
I mean, and we kept choosing each other.
You know, early in our relationship, we did this thing.
I had read about hand fasting, which means you make a commitment every year and a day.
And so early on, we would kind of like, hey, do you want to do this?
You know, let's do this thing again.
Sometimes it was more romantic than that.
Sometimes it was just like, what do you think?
Right.
And that happened in all sorts of different ways.
It didn't always happen around our anniversary, but there is always a point where we would look at each other or one of us would come to the other and say, hey, what are we doing?
