I'm dead prepared.
I'm a midwife.
I've been a midwife for a long time, but I've mainly been specializing in antinodal care for the last 30 plus years.
Um I have spent a lot of my career supporting women.
I'm very woman centred, uh that's my my whole practice.
And um and I've just submitted a PhD, um, which is on um
Uh just how maternity care can better support women, a women centred focus.
Um I do work in a pub the public system.
And um
And I'm very uh like r yeah, really interested in this topic.
I think it's it's it's a great conversation for us all to have.
as a multidisciplinary group of people.

Well my
The real point I want to make, and so Penny, that's a fantastic outline of all the legal and you know, like really important kind of foundations of it.
But the other thing uh that's so important is actually it's a relational thing.
It's not a transaction, it's not exchanging
uh or even kind of pouring information to somebody else.
It's actually really about a conversation uh where um there's a a build up of trust and that's established actually by in the first instance uh the clinician, be it an obstetrician or midwife, actually finding out what's important to somebody.
Um depending on the circumstance and as I've said before I work in antinodal care, but I think that's where the foundation of building that trust and the relationship comes.
