And I know that that's aspirational, but I don't know that it's completely
Um s I don't think it's something that we can't achieve.
We just need to be
thinking about it.
It just needs to be something that's that's uppermost in our minds.
Creating a safe environmental environment is fundamental to maternity care.
And when a woman um and their partner feels safe, supported and listened to,
that shapes how the conversation can occur.
When I say united front, we both we bring different things to the table.
And so, um, midwives, as midwives, you know, we
we ha you know, we sort of think of ourselves as y well, uh as as um as experts in normal.
But we also need to know with with being that sort of potentiating
the m the best possible um physiological situation.
But we also have our colleagues who are here who are about, you know, thinking about, you know, what's
what's risk, the contingencies, when do we escalate, what's the right time, and and getting that right.
Working together is abs is just it's the most important thing that we can do.
We never want a situation well, I personally very much argue about the point of that sometimes there can be a bit of gatekeeping, the midwives, you know, protecting
the woman that is that creates a very unsafe environment.
W it should never be
that there's we need to keep this gatekeeping and and I do bang on about it a lot.
