And that's normally how you would decide who these extras are going to be in that show.
You sometimes don't get to meet them face to face.
You're all just dependent on a picture of them and some measurements.
That is kind of my Bible to begin with.
It's the Bible for costume, for hair and makeup, to make their short lists.
For example, in that book, there'll be people that wouldn't necessarily work for that scene or the period.
Their hair might be too short.
It might be too long.
Certain costumes might be so intricate that they only fit certain body shapes.
So it really just depends on that.
And yeah, it would just be, it's the Bible of everything to begin with.
It would vary depending on how many you're looking for.
So if you've got a scene of 50 people that you need to cast, you might get a lookbook of 200 people, which...
the agency senders who they think might fit the brief but then when you start whittling it down giving it to costume hair and makeup yourself and then finally the director that might become 70 or even less than the number that you need and you need to cast again or go elsewhere to cast it takes so many people yeah i say this all the time during this podcast but it really takes so many people
Yeah, it's a small army.
I don't know about small, this is an army.
Every person on a production is so valuable, so valuable.
And it really does take so many people to make a vision come to life.
So this might look like something that costume needs rather than a crown second.
