Hello.
So Michelle was just was just explaining that these uh vines she's showing us at the moment are kind of more modern vines, so they've got the traditional you might be familiar with kind of posts and the kind of wires running across them.
Very narrow the the vines, trained trained up the wires and the posts.
Yeah, very narrow.
Uh little
They do uh look like blueberries.
sweet, isn't it?
Yeah, so Michelle has just moved us on to the uh what she's was explaining was the the older vines, the Anci Ancien um vines, these are called gobulae.
Uh and they are vines that are kind of well, there's no posts, no wires.
Um they're cut very short and they kind of almost sprout up un from the ground, don't they?
I
And when she said the the ancient vines, I mean they really are quite very old, I've been 80 years old.
Great.
No, I'd never seen anything quite like it.
I couldn't believe just how ginormous that press was in this huge barn.
Yeah, well I well may cut maybe one one double deck of dust, isn't it?
But but I mean the wheel that uh that they have to use to to wind the press down uh was huge and obviously big enough for for a person to stand on with uh one one foot on one peg and another foot on the other peg and then one hand on the peg and uh the other hand on the peg and just kind of spinning it round.
Uh must be well she said it's quite easy to start with, but it does
get tiring after a while and of course you to produce one press worth of uh kind of juice, as it were, um it takes twenty four hours, she said.
So, um, you know, that's a lot of work for five people.
