I think that Galway had their number, and they were on top, and they were dominating, even though it was Pocotts coming down, and they were just mopping up ball, and as you said, they had that facility to score from distance, even though they missed a fair few of them, too.
So, yeah, the atmosphere was great.
You could have 40,000 Cork supporters here.
They were quite for a good while early on.
Then you heard the Rebels thing started after about 25 minutes when they were starting to come into the game.
Alan Walsh scored a terrific goal.
Class goal.
You know, a really brilliant goal.
And you could hear them then.
So crowds responded to what they see on the field and what are out.
few or how many there's there and yeah it was good to hear Galway and the voice and the atmosphere after it was a really good atmosphere in the second half there predicted from the Galway crowd Leal Dunhu he came back for this didn't he he would have thought a lot of people would have thought Galway were underachieving last year was disappointing he ripped up the script he threw in a load of new faces and he has them back in an All-Ireland final again yes I mean you know it's some achievement it's some achievement coming back the second time doesn't always work and of course he was with Dublin along the way
And Cork had a few years there with Henry Shefflin.
A lot of expectation, a lot of attention around that.
And I suppose there was a reluctance maybe to kind of move or to kind of experiment with younger players.
Often happens, particularly with outside managers coming in, they have a set period of time.
It's a bit risky.
They don't have time for maybe experimentation or going with younger players.
And they tend maybe to be a little bit conservative.
But that was a very disappointing period, both for Henry Shefflin and for Galway.
And, you know, they didn't look like to be in a great place.
