Well, for Claire and gorgeous summers when you were kids, this is Ash Girl from Mars.
It's a great track.
You're a comedian, Shane, and, you know, we form assumptions about people that do certain kind of careers or professions.
And some people have seen the comedians must have always been sort of quite precocious or kind of the class clown.
Were you like that when you were younger?

a bit of that but no I was never really that kind of standout clown and I think like some of the I think if people even some lads from my school if they even remembered me they would be shocked that this is what I'm doing yeah at how things turned out you did like performing and clearly you had a gift for making people laugh but was it youth theatre where I know you remember the fantastic Dublin Youth Theatre was that where you really sort of came into your own or really started to stress you know test the boundaries of that performance yeah I was Dublin Youth Theatre is
Was it the making of you in a way?
I know that's a bit sort of hackneyed or whatever, but kids, even if they don't go on to, whether it's sport or drama, places where they can actually develop as young people.
Yeah, it's very important, I think, for all of us, but including for teenagers.
One of our listeners, Gráinne, says, my kids are late teens and we used to listen to great CDs in the car when they were kids.
