I live beside them.
I've talked to Black people.
Look, I appreciate it, Dom.
I'm going to have to go in a few minutes.
I just want to say three quick things.
One, I hope what Bakari said is heard.
We can no longer band-aid this problem.
And the concept of trying to go get white men, that's what the Joe Biden candidacy was about.
That's over.
Part two, the reason why the response to you, Don, from 2018 is it was a mirror being held up in the face of those corporate executives, and they can't stand a reflection of what they see because that's the reality.
That's what I want to see now, what the White House just posted, what corporate leaders are going to stand up and say something, how they're going to respond.
To this day, the Klan has never been labeled as a terrorist organization.
because they hold that mirror up and they don't want to see it.
And then thirdly, as we evolve out of this, we must move away from the concept of egocentric leadership, because that kills us every time.
We really do need to look at a community-centric approach, because when the speaker, when the ego is no longer at the table, then people are waiting for the next leader to show up.
That's a failed strategy on our part, and I hope
This experience allow us to see, get away from that egocentric leadership model and really lean in on how we're going to build something new after we get out this moment.
Now, continue to do the good work that you're doing.
And I appreciate you being the face of resistance in Minnesota, Minneapolis, and continue to do that.
And here we built this country, you know, so much.
