And we still have a system that's opaque, that's

you know, inefficient, that's really difficult to follow what's happening with all of this money.

Why are we not getting the services that we deserve for the astonishing amount of money between, you know, private insurance and public money that's going into the system?

And like it or not, flaunter care is the only answer that the entire system has come up with to try to create a universal and equitable system where we can actually understand what's happening.

And one of the ways that you will never understand what's happening to your money is when people sign contracts.

By the way, just the consultants that have signed the contract.

But remember, the Rotunda has a service level agreement with the HSE.

So these are both kind of institutional and private contracts.

And then says, but we're not going to obey those contracts.

We'll just do whatever the hell we want to do.

On the question of

the availability of private medicine.

There are plenty of private hospitals in the country.

It's not a question of a single consultant.

They've done this before.

They've got together in consortiums or whatever.

If they think there is a sufficient demand, and if they think it is financially viable, which I believe it isn't, but if they do think it's financially viable...

They're perfect.

Nobody in the world is stopping them from doing that.

They're entirely entitled to go and do it.
