Desmond Tutu

This award has really been given for all these people, those who are the victims of apartheid, the numberless little people.

I would like to see a groundswell of support coming their way but they certainly have made their point and at very great cost to themselves and this is what I would wish to commend them for.

I must say that they are quite remarkable young people.

The history of this country...

has been a source of tremendous inspiration to us in the course of our own struggle.
