We don't necessarily feel an impetus to have to take a big swing at the position.
Right now, this feels very much like, all right, 2027 first is what it's going to take to go get an A.J.
Brown or some kind of package that's an equivalent of a first round pick to go get an A.J.
Brown.
For me here, I think because that's the case, because of what we're dealing with in terms of the board, the next best move is pass rush, and I'm going to Cassius Howell here.
He's a really fascinating prospect.
I think this is very much a, you know, is this your flavor of guy or not type of player?
Because he does have shorter arms.
He's not some 275-pound major defensive end.
I think that you would be debating Cassius Howell's repertoire as kind of like your more finesse rusher against an Akeem Mesidor as a late breakout but bigger body type of edge rusher.
them having Draymond Jones in the building already would tell me that opposite him, you might want to have a guy that can go be, you know, their new Caleb on chase on, or maybe you can kind of get some combination of that production out of both Harold Landry and someone like a Cassius Howell.
So that was kind of my thought and making that pick here.
And this is where, like, personal preference, I'll just cut you off.
This is where personal preference becomes such a big thing for me.
Because the designated pass rush guy, automatically I'm like, I need to see high-end speed.
And he doesn't feel like a Patriots.
That doesn't feel like a Patriots move.
Not a Mike Vrabel pick to me.
He's a fascinating one, man.
That's an inspired fit.
