Um, that their run defense started to crater a little bit.
And then offenses really just started kind of having their way with the style of play.
Not because he's calling the wrong things.
He just hasn't had the people in order to, you know, maximize what he wants to do schematically is very similar to Matt Eberflus in Chicago, right?
Where everybody was talking about, hey, this is a guy that has been, you know, reputed reputed to have
this great approach to defense and we're looking up and he's ranking 22nd, he's ranking 26th, he's ranking 19th.
Where's this great defense you're talking about?
And a lot of it is more Jimmies and Joes and X's and O's.
And I think that for me, I need to see Latu really kind of turn that corner and be a Pro Bowl week to week.
Major impact level edge rusher.
I think that that is probably the straw that would stir the drink for this defense.
I had them out of the top 10.
They're really in that kind of fourteen to sixteen cluster for me because I just don't know what I can count on from them.
Right, especially because they're not a defense that's really leaned on forcing a ton of turnovers in the same way we've seen from Jacksonville and some other teams that we may get to later on down the line.
I I just kind of have to see it with them first.
And until I see some of these young guys really punch through, especially up front, I I think I'm just gonna exercise some caution with this group.
The same way you couldn't quit this team when we were talking about offenses.
I can't quit this team on the defensive side of the ball.
I'm going with the Kansas City Chiefs at number nine.
