And I'd like to believe that his foot, you know, his his feet injuries are going to be a thing of the past and they'll be able to depend on him to play, you know, fifteen plus games in his pro career, but it's just not something that's been demonstrated yet.
And I'm not ready to, you know, bank or bet on that.
They don't have edge rushers, I think, to make up for that.
I think the Dallas Turner has certainly started to turn a corner in his career in terms of being more consistent because there was a moment in a first year, year or so of his career where I found myself asking, like, so when exactly is it that Dallas Turner is supposed to take over?
guy and he just hasn't turned out quite yet.
Now, maybe, you know, down the second half of last year when you when things were more thrust in his lap and he just had to be their lead rusher, maybe that's a sign of what's to come.
And maybe that was just volume goes up, so production goes up because the opportunity is there.
I don't know really what to make of that quite yet.
And then after that, you look at the rest of the back seven and it's just a lot of stuff that's being taped together, right?
With, you know, toothpicks, glue, et cetera, et cetera, right?
I I think that there's a lot that you're really hoping on in terms of Byron Murphy still being able to play at a high level, Isaiah Rogers being able to play at a high level.
These are boom and bust guys that we're talking about right now.
Players, when they're not forcing turnovers, not blitzing and getting sacks, not
jumping routes, you're not going to get high level snap to snap play.
I just don't know if I'm willing to bet on that because there's just nothing really undergrading this.
In case they don't force turnovers, in case they don't scheme up a a bunch of snaps, there's nothing outside of Brian Flores' scheme that makes me feel like, oh, okay, we can look up in Octo mid October and this team might be, you know, pushing in the top three, you know, or even in the top eight in more stable defensive metrics.
I just can't project that right now.
will say if there is if there's one guy who you won't get yelled at for being wrong on, I feel like Brian Flores is on that short list.
You can understand.
They could be the twenty fifth best defense, but if you say, Hey, I see Brian Flores, I hit the top ten button, I don't think anybody is gonna protest that one too hard.
