Well, I think that's also got to do with the lack of form of some of the other title contenders.
United not playing well, City losing yesterday, Chelsea being at the bottom of the table.
or near the bottom of the table.
Yeah, I think people did get carried away.
Yes, they had a few good results, but the reason I felt they may struggle today was because they've got to play like a home team today, where they did struggle.
They beat Swansea just, they've struggled to find a way past Southampton when they played them in 0-1 each, Kazan in the Europa League, so they had quite a few
very, very iffy games where they came out on top or drew the games, but they didn't play well.
And I think this is what you have to do against Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp said it during the week.
He said, we have to be better in possession.
And I think today they showed where they lack.
Without Coutinho, without Sturridge for large parts, they struggled to find chances, struggled to find a way through the Newcastle defence.
And they looked, for most parts, they looked very ordinary.
So they need to bring these two players back.
We need to see how long Sturridge is fit.
But I think overall, regardless who's on the pitch, I think they have to...
improve the retention of the ball because today very uncomposed they lost so many easy balls and the passing's been off today and this is why they didn't create any chances they only had one shot on target so yeah a lot of work to be done I don't think it's a big shock they lost here because Newcastle was furious at some stage but you know I think their strength for this for the moment in time will be away from home because
the way they're playing without their creative players being fit, Coutinho and Sturridge, I think they struggle to create chances.
