I'd still probably say no.
So the reasoning is I would much rather trade Philip Hronik for – like the thing I threw out is if San Jose comes to you and they say, hey, here's our 20th overall pick they got from Edmonton and a top 10 or top 15 protective first next year, I would rather do that than –
trade more assets for one pick.
Because then you're still getting an elite prospect at three, plus you're getting the quantity of multiple first overall picks.
It does kind of feel like a move that every other team is like, oh, please do that.
I don't know.
Who knows?
So from a Vegas perspective, moving on.
How – what do you think this coaching battle style battle between the Vegas Golden Knights and what we assume is going to be Rod Brendamore and the Carolina Hurricanes is going to look like?
So obviously they haven't had the ultimate playoff success they've wanted over the last few years.
How much of the success they're having this year is on the additions of Ehlers and Miller or just the opponents they had this time around?
So with Carolina, I mean, we've talked a lot about how they're patient, they've had this big window that they've been trying to break through for a while.
Now that they're seemingly going on to the cup final, and we'll see what happens there, do you see teams like Montreal maybe taking a more patient approach as opposed to the normal approach when teams seem to get to this window where it's like, okay, now we're ready, we can go and trade these picks, trade these prospects?
It's also, if it is Carolina-Vegas again, it feels like we're just doing a preview at this point, but it's competing styles, right, when we're talking about team building because Vegas just, they have no picks left.
They're going all in.
Every time a big name is out there, they're going after them.
So which of these do you think is more appealing for, like this version of team building is more appealing for teams that are looking to take that next step?
There's no way they're going to be able to resist getting it to Mitch Marner.
I'll go with Logan Stankovic.
Doubling that like I think people can look at the like a traitor ranting him for him He did a very Carolina thing to get him and then also he was a big part of you winning the cup So I'll go look and we've also seen him might go off as a goal scorer Stanley Cup final where he scores three or four goals Yeah, a two-goal game or a hat trick or something in there Which he absolutely could the way that line is playing the Carolina side of it is interesting in part because They've played so few games that no one's racked up.
