Selkie is a great example where like you could argue his best defensive seasons came way before that yes and he never got the recognition and then he starts scoring 40 goals and it's like oh we better this guy's really good defensively it's like thinking like it even makes because I believe Malhotra was a finalist and it actually makes him being a finals even more impressive yes he's not a big score and it's just like no you're just really good defensively yeah

I mean, honestly, all of them have their own challenges.

I'd say like the Lady Bing, for example, just because it's like, I feel like the players should probably vote on it in terms of who they view as the most gentlemanly.

It's generally associated with like the lowest penalty minute total.

Or in this case, like kind of like a, you know, respecting the career Anze Kopitar had.

And I imagine he's going to get a lot of votes for the war this year.

I know the Norris this year was incredibly difficult to vote against.

I was seeing our guy Drentz.

fighting for his life on twitter yesterday after he announced that he had not had evan bouchard as one of his finalists and he had asked me about what i thought about the ballot we had some back and forths i think it was just i'm glad i didn't have a vote this year for the norris because there's 10 guys you could have made an argument for and someone's obviously gonna feel disrespected and left out and that's just the reality of it but yeah the awards were pretty tricky this year in general

Yeah, there was a pretty clear top four and Celebrini just is on the outside looking at it.

I imagine he's probably going to get a lot of first or second place votes as well and largely fell into fourth just because he probably got the most fourth place votes, whereas those other three were kind of established candidates
