And, you know, it just it's just so perfect, I think, because, you know, our founders were worried about, you know, the federal government always has so much power.
If you're ever in the criminal defense arena,
a criminal defendant in this country, you are the stakes are already so mismatched.
They have the law enforcement who does the investigation.
They have career prosecutors.
And yes, you can get appointed a criminal defense lawyer, but the stakes are so mismatched.
And so they have built in so many checks to try to even that.
And it's just the irony of like, this is exactly when we need those checks.
When you literally have the president of the United States
who's not even a part, obviously, of the DOJ, but not even a lawyer trying to go out there and say if somebody has legal liability, in this case, criminal liability for something.
nonsense.
But it shows he's trying to use the power of the full government.
No other single office is as powerful as the president.
He's trying to use that incredibly powerful office against a person in the United States.
And kind of like Jimmy Kimmel, the free speech argument wasn't just about Jimmy Kimmel.
This is obviously not just about James Comey.
We know he's instructed the DOJ to try to denaturalize citizens based on very innocuous things, which would require those people to go through the court system and defend their citizenship.
Comey is going to have some great lawyers around him, right?
His daughter was just recently fired from the DOJ, just like Jimmy Kimmel could stand up to Trump pretty well.
