In theory you'd you'd say yes, 'cause I like I I know what what Tony's saying about um
you know, the how it how it toughens players up.
But there's a there's a kind of there's a sort of a conventional wisdom attached to that as well, in the sense that if the players fail, then it it it demonstrates that they weren't tough enough to kind of make it.
Um and the more that fail, the more it kind of proves that, you know, this is the kind of uh tough grounding and the apprenticeship that players need.

But it's only one way of of doing things.
And I think like the facts about academies and people who go to academies, and as you say, Irish players can't go there till they're eighteen anymore.
But like ninety eight percent of players uh who go into English Premier League academies, I think, aren't aren't in in the top five divisions within five years.
You know, it's an incredible failure rate.
And you know, like with a failure rate like that, you'd have to you would
actually have talks about is it is does it work?
um just in general.
But they don't peop but English clubs, especially the Premier League clubs, have so much money um that they don't really have to concern themselves with that.
They don't have to concern themselves, are we being as smart as we can we'll just recruit everybody and we'll f hope that some people make their way in in the in this world.
And Parrot has gone a different way.
And I think he's a really like I think, you know, Irish we're always invested in Irish players when
Um, you know, when they're s as important as Troy Parrot are, and then they're taking a a pathway that's a little different, we're even more invested in it.
But I think there's something, as Tony said about his interview when he spoke last year, I think there's something about Parrot that is um bewitching beyond even his goals.
And it is that sense of the journey he's been on, if you like, because he was always the next big thing.
