Steve Stewart was, you know, the best, best dude around.
And then our JB team, I can't even tell you this, you know, a lot of cool kids.
They they beat us all the time.
They were so competitive and they pushed us so much.
But at the end of the day, you know, we went through some some good and some bad times.
But I think at the end of the day, nobody put themselves over the team.
And and you know, as I was I was one of the captains.
I I was maybe I made the team 'cause of my dad, who was the J V coach.
But my whole goal was to get these teammates to just love each other.
You know, I would I would talk trash for Johnny Harling.
That guy wouldn't say a word.
And uh, but but we loved each other.
And so what made us special is we hung out after, we hung out before, we weren't trying to rush to get out of things, and we we showed up, nobody wanted to win more than us.
And what what made that
That team special is all the way from the sophomore kid to the varsity kid.
We made sure that we competed and and that it was a great atmosphere.
And I translate those things 25 years later is we do things outside of just basketball.
Um we we go do fun things at Mount View and some with some of our kids.
We've done, you know, Halloween parties, we've done Christmas parties that we do.
And I think that those
