I think Rory, it's a great golf course for him in the way that, like, most PGA Tour golf courses are great golf courses for him.
Yeah.
Like, cool, like, you hit your driver farther than everybody else, and that's a true weapon.
And if your putter cooperates and you hit your wedge as well, like, you're going to be there on Sunday.
And then it's just a matter of making some putts.
So I think plus 850 feels very, very fair for Rory at the moment.
Yeah, it's a fun one because we've talked about this now for a lot of majors, really going back to LACC and some of those US Opens where Rory just looked like a different type of pitcher instead of a thrower.
And he just has gotten so much better at some of the variety of the game and the spin control and flighting things and all of those things you need to do to win at very, very proper golf courses.
And it's so fun that...
Everything you just said about Aronamink and how good of a course fit it is, if you're coming into this year and you're like, what's a better fit for Rory Aronamink or Shinnecock, I'd almost be like, I kind of like Shinnecock just based on the way that his game is trending.
But also, that's just kind of in comparison to the rest of the field.
Everything that he does well is still going to be massively rewarded.
It's almost like the floor is higher, I guess, on a week like this, which I think is what's getting me
pretty pumped about at least sunday of this week is man there's like scotty is pre-approved to be in the top 10 going into sunday rory is pre-approved to be in the top 10 going to bryson's probably going to be up there rom might be up there cameron young's pregnant like it just seems like it makes a lot of sense for a lot of the big horses which i think makes for fun golf to watch on tv rory's a little under two to one for a top five finish including ties right now
um feels right yeah yeah and i think i could see rory you know like you wonder like can rory get up for this one right like it feels a little like he's i think shinnecock you get up for that's got that sense of place i think berkdale you get up for for an open uh i don't know if this one's got like quite rises to that like it sits kind of between a players and and the next you know major i think
um it's it's kind of in like a little class of its own but uh i could see rory wanting to you know stand up there and shove it to the pga of america too after after the rider cuff last year don ray d sprague and the gang keegan things of that nature i haven't thought of that feels very satisfying
It's too short?
You think the Philly fans are going to ride him?
Maybe his fourth major this year will be the Aussie Open at Kingston.
We covered that last night.
